Frequently Asked Questions
Can you manufacture heat sinks from our drawings?
+
-
Yes. PowerWinx Thermal manufactures custom aluminum and copper heat sinks based on customer drawings and project requirements. We can review dimensions, fin geometry, mounting features, materials, surface treatments and manufacturing feasibility before production.
Do you provide free samples?
+
-
Yes.Standard sample development can be completed normally within 3–7 days, depending on the product structure, material availability and design complexity.
Which heat sink manufacturing processes do you support?
+
-
Our manufacturing capabilities include aluminum extrusion, CNC machining, skiving, bonded-fin and folded-fin manufacturing, cold forging, die casting, stamping, soldering and heat-pipe integration. The recommended process depends on the design, thermal target, quantity and budget.
How do I choose the right heat sink manufacturing process?
+
-
Extrusion is often suitable for consistent profiles and medium-to-high production volumes. CNC machining provides more flexibility for prototypes and complex geometries, while skiving supports thin, closely spaced fins. Bonded-fin and folded-fin structures may be used for larger or more specialized thermal assemblies. We recommend a process after reviewing your drawing and production requirements.
What materials are available for custom heat sinks?
+
-
Common materials include aluminum alloys such as 6061 and 6063, as well as copper. Material selection depends on thermal performance, weight, mechanical requirements, manufacturing method and cost. Other grades can be reviewed according to the project.
